I am one of those that has my taskbar clock set via the NTP servers. Call me anal, but I will argue seconds with you. Frankly I have been a bit irritated that the best timekeeping us humans can do loses a second every 30,000,000 years. Well, scientists at the University of Reno and the University of Tokyo have developed a clock that is laser and mercury driven. Ain't perfect, but they claim it will only lose a second every 14,000,000,000 years.
